Trivia: Mount Farm, Allied Races and More

Just a quick run on my whereabouts :)

Antorus Mogging

Persistence pays off! My cloth armor toons have valiantly won the last shoes from Imonar, and lo and behold! we have collected the full Mage set in addition to previously acquired Warlock one!

What is more important, this is the set that I’m actually wearing :) Faari the Dwarf Mage is fully dressed in it but helmet. It fits her so well:

Faari

Aurinko the Priest was also lucky to collect two more set items. This makes her lacking a priest-only cape from High Command and shoes from Aggramar which could be obtained by any cloth toon.

With this two slots covered, I’ll have all my cloth armors collected! So Faari (dwarf fire mage), Micromantica (gnome frost mage), Faerella (goblin warlock), Aurinko (gnome priest) and Myde (just-started-leveling void elf mage) will have their Antorus major goal achieved. And this means they will go on standby mode until BfA – apart from a pair of grind achievements for Micromantica and Faerella.

But more armor classes to collect yet :)

Love is in the Air

This year it’s just an enormous amount of toons trying for Luv Rokkit. I have 12 of my main roster + 4 fresh allied races on one realm, and also Dwarf Fire Mage and Pandaren Warrior on another realm. 18 tries daily, lol.

I’ll have a small traveling vacation though during the holiday, so it’s gonna be 4 days with no tries at all. And yet, it’s gonna be a huge effort towards the elusive mount.

It still pisses me off that you can’t queue all alts in one sit. It’s only 9 tries in a row, then they give you a hour-long cooldown: that is, you can successfully queue within it, but you won’t be able to enter the dungeon (“you queued in too many dungeons”). So I have to stretch them tries during the day.

We had the ultimate jerk party tonight for Aurinko’s run. She queued as a healer… and she was THE ONLY one who performed her role. We were fighting with bosses during TWO minutes. The DPS (all 110) didn’t damage, tank was in DPS, and he didn’t damage as well, I healed like mad, and we nearly WIPED at the holiday boss. It was just ridiculous. Amongst my heals I just checked and planted a pair of my own damage spells on the bosses… which took 20% of their health each. What the F was that? After the encounter ended, my small gnome in crisping white medic clothes waved her hands and /say announced that everyone in the party is a sucker and a douche but myself. It’s hard to piss me off like that, but they did.

Paragon Reputation Mounts

I’ve got a new paradigm: all my toons are now pouring their rep tokens into one, and this one is human with a racial reputation bonus. We’ll see how it works, but I already did 3 tries for rep mounts. No luck lol. But I got another – THIRD – moose from Highmountain, and it’s from the rep that I don’t even collect on purpose! 1 copper is my win, vendored.

Allied Races Leveling

I’m happy with how leveling goes. The pace is great, even if I finished just one zone for each toon. Myde the void elf mage finished Duskwood… and entered Redridge Mountains! Arkeona is done with Hillsbrad, Jammu cut off the eastern Ashenvale, and Kalaari transferred to Arathi Highlands from Wetlands.

I’m having so much fun leveling them and their professions. No rush at all, and I don’t feel urged to leave a zone until I’m done.

I’m doing dungeons too, and it’s a single run for every dungeon on every toon. Experience is pretty great if you sprinkle them with dungeon quests: my new toons range from 26 to 29, and the difference depends only on the number of dungeons done. On every toon I have at least 6-10 dungeons to complete yet, so I suppose I’m not gonna run out of them too soon :)

There’s so much to do, and this “lull” is actually very fun.

P.S. And this just in. Although your low level toons can enter the holiday dungeon, they can not get the mounts – just necklaces gear and holiday candies and stuff. Only toons 98+ could get the mounts.

So, I’m down to my 110 roster from 18 to 13 :) A small relief.

Obviously, in Battle for Azeroth the level will be up as well. So if we want to farm Brewfest and Hallow’s End mounts, make sure your toons can participate in the current expansion – I guess that means leveling them to 108 or up.

  1. It’s been confirmed by Blizz that characters below level 98 receive different type of loot bag from event bosses and it doesn’t drop the maunt so there is absolutely no reason to farm with low-levels toons at all

  2. Wonderful! I’m so glad that you are having fun, I am too (I’m in Wetlands now).
It irks me on the ten-in-an-hour because you don’t know until you get there. I put in a Suggestion that we could get a notice when we’ve hit the limit and a count-down — especially for Holidays where they have designed it for us to chain our Alts!
