Well, there’s a week until Warlords of Draenor – so the last chance to get some gear with SoO starts… now! People say that there’s no need to run one more raid – as in a week you’ll get some quest greens better than raiding gear, but what the hell :=) I still need set pieces, at least for the sake of mogging :=)
And while you’re probably queueing for the last farewell run (as I will do today after work), I suggest to recollect your attitude to the already-hated (or loved) snouts and faces of the SoO bosses :=)
Immerseus – that’s a dumb fight actually. Not challenging at all, and beating a puddle under your feet while the actual boss is somewhere near the ceiling… erhm.
Fallen Protectors – one of my favourites. It’s a very cosy circle ground and the fight requires all the people knowing what to do perfectly, as some boss abilities address you personally.
Norushen – one of the best in the list. What I like most is the personal challenge!
Sha of Pride – a very easy fight and well, it’s again always beating the boss toe while standing in one place.
Galakras – one of my favourites! It really gives the siege feeling, and of course I’m always in the tower onslaught party.
Iron Juggernaut – I hate the fights when all the ground starts effectively killing all the raid (that is, long massive AoE).
Kor’kron Dark Shaman – much mess in the battlefield, and you actually don’t see even the ground by the end of fight.
General Nazgrim – easy one. After you learn one simple thing about defensive stance, it becomes boring.
Malkorok – one of my favourites again. While you beat a boss, it requires running around to certain places, doesn’t let you get bored.
Spoils of Pandaria – hate it cause all the fight outcome often depends on just one silly person doing it WRONG.
Thok the Bloodthirsty – love it! The ray mechanics is the best in all SoO. If not only the massive AoE…
Siegecrafter Blackfuse – littered battlefield again and kill-em-all massive AoE. Meh
Paragons of the Klaxxi – nice one! You constantly switch your mind to something new.
Garrosh Hellscream – I don’t like the teleport parts, and with the rest of the encounter there’s so much stuff happening that it’s not very comforting. It’s like they put everything they ever knew about raids here: mind controls, avoid cleaves, killing adds, interrupt casts, kill-this-add-fast, boss-heals-himself-to-mid-health (twice) – it’s actually a pile that stinks :=)
What are you favourite encounters in SoO and will you give it the last run this week?
